Using years of jazz and classical music theory, in addition to their profound knowledge of hearing science, Kronen integrates rhythmic and harmonic elements from European, African, Caribbean, and American music. Their experimental electronic rock, (consisting of unique chord progressions and non-western modes of music) utilizes non-conventional instrument arrangements, timbre, meter and rhythm. Lyrically, Kronen’s social commentary pushes listeners to be introspective. Acoustically, Kronen albums and compositions are designed to toy with the psychoacoustic phenomena occurring within the listener’s auditory system, (such as spatial hearing and frequency selectivity).
